Open Source Projects

Performant Labs contributes code, helps organize events and gives presentations to the Drupal open source community not just because we believe in giving back (which we do). Deeply participating in Drupal gives us these tangible benefits:

  • We expand our expertise
  • We stay current with a fast-moving industry
  • We create current functionality needed by our clients
  • We establish important relationships with other experts.

If you are interested in learning more about the many benefits of participating in open source communities, see 5 Benefits of Contributing to Open Source Projects.

“In open source, we feel strongly that to really do something well, you have to get a lot of people involved.”
                           — Linus Torvalds, principal force behind the development of the Linux operating system

Here are some projects we’ve initiated to enhance the Drupal experience.

Building the community’s
 capacity for quality.

This community initiative was born when we were faced with the question "When do we move the Campaign Kit project from alpha to beta to general availability?"
André presented the project at the Bay Area Drupal Camp in 2018 (the largest Drupal camp in the world).
Visit the project page on Drupal.org and watch the presentation to learn our thoughts on what it takes to create quality software.

A flexible donation system.

Campaign Kit allows non-profits to create standalone and peer-to-peer donation campaigns on their site. Currently in beta.

Visit the project page on Drupal.org, which has a video tour, or visit the documentation.

Ready-to-use Layout Builder Components.

With Layout Builder quickly becoming the preferred way of creating flexible page layouts, the community needs components to build pages quickly. Currently in Beta.
